The fall season is undoubtedly the most festive of the year. We decorate our homes for the various holidays, we stock our fridges with autumn themed coffee creamers and we reach for anything and everything pumpkin flavored. Why limit yourself to pumpkin spice candles and maple cinnamon lattes though? Transform your beauty routine this fall season with these festive and healthy beauty remedies.

Pumpkin Face Mask

Let’s begin with a classic, the simple pumpkin face mask. As yummy as pumpkins are, they also hold many skin healing properties. Pumpkins are filled with Vitamin A, Vitamin C and Zinc. All of these properties are beneficial for your skin and can leave you with a healthy glow.

The ingredients are simple:

  • 1 tablespoon of canned pumpkin
  • 1 teaspoon of honey
  • ½ teaspoon of milk(nut milk works as well)

Simply mix all of these together and smoothly apply to your face. Leave on for 10-15 and then gently rinse off with water.

Pomegranate Clay Mask

The deep red color of pomegranates makes them the perfect addition to your seasonal beauty remedies list. The juice from pomegranate seeds is filled with antioxidants that work to clear and brighten your skin. The perfect partner for pomegranates is clay which helps pull out any toxins in your skin.


  • 1 tablespoon of clay( powdered clay mix works well)
  • 1-2 tablespoon of pomegranate juice.
  • 1 teaspoon of honey

Mix all of these ingredients together, but be sure to use your fingers or a brush because metal spoons will mess with the properties of the clay. Apply to your face and leave on for 15 mins. Rinse the dry clay off your face with warm water. Like any clay mask be sure to mist your face with water or apply your favorite moisturizer to lock everything in!!

Sweet and Spicy Body Scrub

Brown Sugar is known to be an amazing exfoliant. Give this traditional sugar scrub a season flare!


  • ½ cup of canned pumpkin
  • ½ cup of brown sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon of ground cinnamon

Combine the ingredients together and apply all over your body. Try and concentrate on the areas of your skin that seem the most dry. Once applied and exfoliated, rinse your skin with warm water.

Sweet Potato Pie face mask

Pumpkin notoriously gets all of the attention during the fall season but don’t neglect sweet potatoes this autumn! Sweet potatoes hold properties that promote cell turnover, which basically means fuller and brighter skin! Pair that with probiotic rich greek yogurt, bacteria fighting honey, and the magical properties of turmeric and you’ve got the perfect recipe for healthy beautiful skin.

Here are your ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon of canned pumpkin
  • 1 tablespoon of mashed sweet potato
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 1 tablespoon of full fat greek yogurt
  • A dash of turmeric

Mix all the ingredients together and apply with your hands to your face and neck. Leave it on for 10-15 minutes and rinse off with warm water.
